its surreal. how long i've been gone, and how the chains, ropes, leashes (all but one) have been cut loose. and the manner which i can almost freely escape from the little island with little bother from home. or so i think. it has been about 20 days, three weeks since i left. the experiences that i have had have been numerous, crazy (okay you only can get so adventurous with your parents) and all. its a different world out in the west, and even when i look back at my life, reading blogs, reading soccernet day after day, it just seems so trivial. however what can i say. i was in boston the night the celtics lifted the nba champions trophy. to them the world had been conquered after 20 long years.
things are just different out here.
but i have been on the road long enough i guess, its time to come back home. but, a trip to DC still beckons, plus roaming around the streets of NYC with sharon to come. from the canyons in the west to my sister's convocation to NYC to Boston and now to philly, it has been madness. but good madness i would argue. its just different out here. no two ways about it. so different, that its making me consider coming to this place. hm.
the culture of excessiveness, i would deem it (a bit unfair, but true). the courtesy, the huge portions of food, the massive bookstores (oh, the bookstores. i would gladly get lost in them, esp the ones in cambridge,ma, home of harvard and mit), just to name a few.
what more can i say?
lots lots lots more. i guess. lots.
